Renting a Car with Motion Autos
When booking, you choose a vehicle category rather than a specific model. Model availability may vary based on daily logistics. Each car category comprises models with similar size, engine capacity, and trunk space.
To rent car groups A, B, and C, drivers must be at least 21 years old. For other car groups, the minimum age is 25. If you’re under 21, there will be an additional charge for insurance coverage. The maximum age for driving is 75 years, with additional fees for drivers aged 75 and above.
While a local driver’s license is acceptable, we recommend having an International Driver’s Permit (IDL) alongside your local license. The IDL, recognized in 10 languages, serves as an official translation of your local license in over 150 United Nations member countries. Always carry your IDL alongside your valid local license. It’s essential for licenses from countries like the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa, etc., as the Greek Police Authorities require an IDL for these licenses.
To rent a car, you must:
Present a valid driver’s license and identification.
Sign the Legal Rental Agreement, agreeing to Motion Autos’ standard rental terms, conditions, and insurance coverage.
Taking a rental car on a ferry without prior written permission from Motion Autos is not permitted. If you plan to drive the car outside the island, you need to include mainland Greece road assistance services in your insurance package. Additional charges per kilometer driven apply if the car is used outside the island.
Yes, you can reserve a car rental on behalf of someone else. However, you must include the driver’s personal information in the reservation form.
